The Inveraray Inn (formerly the Argyll Hotel) in Inveraray was originally built in 1750 to accommodate guests visiting the glorious Inveraray Castle, the entrance to which is adjacent to the hotel. Few hotels have such a long and distinguished history as the Argyll Hotel, which was formerly known as the Great Inn.

To the front of the Inveraray Inn in Inveraray are stunning views over Loch Shira and Loch Fyne, ideal for freshwater or sea fishing. This Inveraray Hotel also has a dramatic backdrop of mountain ranges making a great location for bird watching or walking breaks.

Each of this Argyll Hotel's bedroom have individual character and charm, and many of the rooms have views over the lochs and mountains.

The Conservatory Restaurant serves the best of local produce wither its in their hearty Scottish breakfasts or the mouth-watering dinners.

Each of the 36 bedrooms at the Inveraray Inn have full en-suite facilities and have been individuality decorated with plenty of character and charm. Many of the bedrooms feature beautiful views over the surrounding lochs and mountains. A spiral staircase locates all bedrooms, apart from 1 - the cottage room.

There is one ground floor double bedroom, which is category three-disabled access.

At the hotels Conservatory Restaurant Sample the best of all that is Scottish with fresh locally sourced produce. Enjoy a delicious Scottish breakfast or mouth-watering dinners from the seasonal menus..

Bar meals and light snacks are served in the Lounge or Argyll Bar, as well as a wide range of malt whiskies, draught beers and world wines.

Please note that the a la carte menu is served in summer months only. The table d'hote menu is available year round.

There are a great range of visitor attractions on the Inveraray Inn doorstep. The most popular attractions are Inveraray Jail, the former county courthouse and county prison for Argyll, where there were a number of Jailbreaks!

Inveraray Castle still home to the Duke and Duchess of Argyll and Ben Cruachan Power Station ("Hollow Mountain").

If you are interested in exploring the Highlands & Islands then the Inveraray Inn, Inveraray makes a great base as Oban is just 39 miles away with ferries to Iona, Tiree, Colonsay and Mull. The Kenna Craig ferry to Islay is only 48 miles south on the stunning Kintyre Peninsula.
