At the Knockomie hotel in the Scottish Highlands, the team are proud of their luxury bedrooms; not one is the same and they all have their fans!

Many of the bedroom have been christened after nearby Scottish Highland Distilleries. As you will know or discover the hotel is located at the Western gateway to the world’s only Malt Whisky Trail.

Four Poster Rooms
At Knockomie Hotel, there are two unique, luxury Four Poster Bed Rooms, Benromach and the Aberlour.

The Benromach is a colonial themed room, harking back to the tea planters who built Knockomie in 1914. A refreshing room with an Iron Four Poster bed with Indian furniture and pictures.

The Aberlour is a more traditional Scottish themed four poster bed room with antique furniture and views across the garden over Forres and toward Findhorn.

Double Rooms
Some of the double bedrooms feature patio doors leading out in to the gardens.

The Grand Master Double bedrooms are large spacious, some with queen and kingsize beds and views towards Forres, the gardens and the quiet wooded area at the rear of the hotel.

One has a Half Tester Bed with a canopy extending half way across the bed and decorated in pale yellow with traditional Wemyss Scottish Fabric, another is decorated in clan Grant and Fraser tartans with antique furniture for a truly luxurious Scottish experience.

Themed Rooms
The Glenburgie Room (Scandinavian Themed)
A recent addition to Knockomie Hotel, the Award Winning Glen Burgie room is the perfect romantic bedroom. Decorated in muted natural colours with painted Scandinavian style furniture, mood lighting and a very sexy bathroom, you have found the perfect romantic hideaway.

The Balvenie Room (Indian Inspired)
This Room is nestled at the back of the hotel and is coloured in a romantic deep crimson finished with a gold bed throw and Indian Inspired furnishings to complete the amourous feel to the room.

Bar & Restaurant

Knockomie Hotel's Restaurant has an extensive Grill Menu which features dishes that are produced from ingredients scourced from local suppliers. Dishes such as Oak Smoked Scottish Salmon and Game Terrine. The menu also features steaks and lamb from local beef and lamb suppliers.

All of the beef is procured from Macbeth’s butchers in Forres. Established 25 years ago, Macbeth’s supply beef that has been home-grown at their farms at Dallas, Moray. From a base of two Highland Cows grazing in front of their house, Macbeth’s have built up a herd of 180 breeding cows all with Highland blood, but most now crossed with the Aberdeen Angus Bull. Fed on grass and homemade silage with no compound feeds, they produce a high quality beef that is hung for 2–3 weeks to enhance its flavour, which we are sure you will enjoy.

Sample Grill Menu

The Malt Library has over 80 single malts and unique blends from all the whisky producing areas of Scotland.

Relax and savour a dram by the fire, or enjoy a personal tutoring by Penny who will take you on a tour of Scotland from the comfort of your chair.

The Speyside Malt Whisky Trail starts in Forres at Benromach Distillery, the first distillery to produce organic whisky, and takes you to such famous brands as Macallan, Glenfiddich and Glenfarclas to name just a few.
