The Miller's Bar has undergone a massive refurbishment and is highly popular with locals and visitors alike. After a day's business, sightseeing or afternoon on the course it offers a great way to relax and review the great shots played on the wide selection of golf courses in the Troon area.
The bar also offers an excellent Bar Menu which both residents and non-residents can enjoy with an excellent choice of freshly prepared starters, main courses and sweets.
Directions to the South Beach Hotel in Troon
The South Beach Hotel sits in the centre of Troon
Prestwick Airport is only ten minutes drive from the South Beach Hotel. From the airport car park take the right at the roundabout following the signs for M77 and Glasgow, continue through the next roundabout also signposted Glasgow.
Glasgow Airport sits to the west of the city itself and is only forty-five minutes drive to the hotel. Leave the airport and join the M8 follow the signs for Glasgow City Centre. Follow the M8 until junction 22 and join the M77 southbound signposted Prestwick Airport. Follow the M77 south until Kilmarnock when it becomes the A77.
From both Airports when you reach the B749 follow the road past Lochgreen House Hotel taking the sharp left and over the railway bridge. Continue on this road until you pass Royal Troon Golf Club on your left and follow the road to the right along the beach front. The South Beach Hotel is approximately half a mile further on the right hand side.
Edinburgh Airport is only an hour and a half drive to Troon driving almost the whole route on motorways. Simply follow the M8 and the M77 as per the directions above and you can be on the golf course well before lunch!
The P&O Ferry Terminal at Troon is only a mile from the South Beach hotel. On leaving the port turn right at the mini roundabout and then left at the next junction onto Templehill. Follow this road to the traffic lights and head straight on. The South Beach hotel is on the left hand side less than a quarter of a mile up that road.

History and heritage loom large with a list including the very splendid Culzean Castle, nearby Dundonald Castle and other country parks and castles at Kelburn and Dean. Robert Burns was born in nearby Alloway and there are now attractions showcasing his life and works and in May every year a festival of the arts, Burns an' a" That, celebrates his influence.
For the Burns enthusiast or even just the casual visitor a trip to the Burns National Heritage Park is a must. You can enjoy the audio-visual interpretation of Tam O'Shanter Experience before strolling along the road to visit Burns Cottage. Continue the experience with a visit to Souter Johnnie's Cottage or the Bachelor's Club.
For the family how about the Heads of Ayr Farm Park, Vikingar, or experience a bit of industrial heritage at the Scottish Maritime Museum. Family leisure centres include The Magnum, Galleon Leisure Centre and The Citadel in Ayr.
Other outdoor and sporting facilities include the Newmilns Snow Centre which is about fifteen minutes from Kilmarnock and offers dry slope skiing and snowboarding facilities.
