Classic Room

Executive Room 
Slightly larger than the Classic Rooms, the majority of the Executive Rooms also benefit from a walk-in shower, as well as marble topped bathtubs. Giving you more space to relax, the Executive Rooms are ideal for the business traveller, benefiting from a work desk area for you to write those all important emails or complete vital tasks at the end of a day.

Deluxe Room
The Deluxe Rooms are just that: deluxe. Each of these extremely spacious rooms are unique. At the end of a busy day you can relax in the separate sofa/seating area enabling busy couples to prepare for the following day in style.

Junior Suite 
Like all the Suites, the Junior Suites give a luxurious feel, benefiting from distinct bedroom and lounge areas with privacy between the two. Bathrooms are extremely spacious with the majority having an elegant roll top bath.

Full Suite 
Full Suites are extremely spacious, offering a large bedroom area with a separate lounge making it the ideal space for entertaining guests or hosting informal business meetings. Separate guest bathrooms come as standard, as do tea and coffee facilities and a well-stocked mini-bar ensuring that you can entertain in style, or simply enjoy the luxury of the space to yourself!

Master Suite 
Master Suites are tremendously roomy with a large comfortable sofa in the lounge areas. Bathrooms benefit from beautiful sunken baths and separate guest toilets.

The Penthouse Suite (on request)
The Penthouse offers the ultimate in luxury; a beautifully designed and equipped suite featuring the maximum space to meet all of your hospitality needs. The suite features a spacious bedroom with a super-king sized bed dressed in luxurious crisp Egyptian cotton sheets, a spacious dressing area, a separate lounge with comfortable sofas and a fully-equipped work desk with WiFi access. The accommodation is decorated beautifully throughout, with tasteful subtle colours and modern and convenient furnishings. The Grand Bar at the Grand hotel offers a large selection of champagne and Martini cocktails as well as all the classic cocktails that are synonymous with the best hotel bars around the world.

The elaborate Afternoon Tea is a feast for the eyes as well as tastebuds. Presented on a silver stand in the relaxing tranquil environment of Hudsons Restaurant. Afternoon tea is served daily between 1pm and 5pm

In-Room Dining
The in-room dining service is the last word in gastronomic luxury. Whether you are looking for a meal to help you unwind after a busy day, or simply wish to work through the evening, the extensive in-room dining menu will provide you with home from home dishes in your own room. 

Breakfast, if required, can also be delivered direct to your door from the extensive breakfast menu from 6a.m. until 11a.m.

A full in-room dining menu is available from 11 a.m onwards, allowing you to select dishes from the restaurant in the privacy of your own quarters.

Spa at The Grand is hidden away in the serene atmosphere of the original vaults of the Great North Eastern Railway Headquarters. Treatments are provided by top International skin care brands Espa and Jessica Nails to ensure that you experience the definitive in lavishness during your spa visit.

The spa has been carefully designed to ensure that whatever you wish to achieve from your spa day, the Spa at The Grand provides the perfect environment. The air-conditioned gym features top class gym equipment. The spa facilities consist of a heated 14 metre pool with jets,spa whirlpool, a Nordic dry sauna, an aromatic steam room and a relaxation lounge.

Hotel Guests: Full use of the spa facilities is included in your room rate and no supplement is charged

Directions from the North
· Take exit – Junction 47 – A59 York / Knaresborough / Harrogate
· Follow A59 to York (Holgate Road) – cross over Holgate Bridge
· At the T Junction/Traffic Lights Turn left onto Blossom Street - A1036
· Just before the City Wall, turn Left at the traffic signals onto Queen Street - A1036 (sign posted to the Railway Station)
· As you pass the railway station on your left, keep in the right hand lane as you approach the traffic light (with the City Wall on your right).
· At the traffic lights, keep right & turn sharp right almost doubling back on yourself and (You will see the AVIVA Offices on your left as you turn)
· Keep left and you will see the hotel on your left (before the war memorial)
· Turn Left onto Station Rise

Directions from the South
· Take exit - Junction 44 – A64 / York
· Follow the A64 – Take exit for Bishopthorpe / Askham Bar Park and Ride
· Slight Left towards the A1036 (Tadcaster Road)
· Continue straight onto A1036 (Tadcaster Road) Past Tesco’s on your left
· Follow directions as above from City Wall

Getting to the Cedar Court Grand Hotel by rail
By train, a journey to York from London takes just 2 hrs, from Manchester -1 hr 30 mins, from Birmingham 2 hrs 20 mins and from Glasgow approx 3 hrs 30 mins. The hotel is located just a short stroll from York’s railway station, as you’d expect from the former North Eastern Rail Headquarters! If you arrive by train and have baggage you would like them to help you with, please get in touch before your arrival.

Valet parking
On arrival at the hotel the Concierge Team will valet park your vehicle for you. Please be aware that the Cedar Court Grand Hotel does not have onsite car parking facilities and that they use the NCP car park on Tanner Row. Once cars are parked in this facility the hotel does not accept any liability for any damage that may be incurred during your stay. Valet parking is charged at £25.00 per night up until 12noon on day of departure.
