The Hollytree Hotel is located at the waters edge in the small Highland village of Kentallan near Glencoe and has one of the best seaside coastal locations in Scotland. The Hollytree hotel is more or less located exactly half way between Fort William and Oban. The Hollytree Hotel is the village's most historic building, part of which was originally constructed as Kentallen Railway Station in the late 1890’s. The family owned hotel has now been carefully refurbished and extended over the years and now provides luxury waters edge accommodation.
The bedrooms at the Glencoe Hollytree Hotel are great for relaxing after a hard days sightseeing whilst enjoying your magical short break holiday in the Scottish Highlands. Each of the 20 en suite bedrooms are of a very high standard and many include uninterrupted Loch Views.
The Holly Tree Seafood Restaurant, described by many as the finest in the Highlands, has a glass wall facing the Loch where you may sit and watch the sun go down beyond the mountains in the west.

Outdoor Dining TerraceThe Hollytree has long had a reputation for superior perfectly prepared food. The extensive A La Carte dinner menu makes excellent use of local fillet steaks and other meats, and wonderful local seafood and shellfish, served in season with herbs, salads and seasonal vegetables all perfectly prepared.
The fine food is well complemented by an extensive and high quality wine list full of variation and quality. There is also a large selection of whiskies and fine cognacs to complete the masterful culinary experience.
A real log fire, which is often lit and kept stoked by our guests, in the centre of the restaurant is the finishing touch to the ambience and ensures the absolute eating experience.
The Seafood restaurant pays particular attention to freshly prepared quality food and the full A’ la Carte menu is served for dinner bed and breakfast guests with no fixed or choice table d'hote menu.

The Captain's lounge bar mingles new with old, combing an old Inn atmosphere with a contemporary wooden bar and old oak floor, with large windows overlooking the sea completing the experience. Food and refreshments are served all day with old favourite bar meals intermingled with new bistro dishes ensuring that there is something for everyone. If you are resident in the Hotel or even just visiting the Glencoe area, the Captain's bar is the place to enjoy a fantastic bar meal.
The elevated outside decking area acts as an outside beer garden and is an ideal place to have a glass of wine or enjoy a beer or simply to indulge in a speciality coffee and watch the World go by.
Adapted from the original station tearoom, the Railway Lounge is a pleasant and relaxed meeting place. It is packed with railway photos and mementos of that age, with the atmosphere finished off with a cosy log fire. An excellent place to sit and enjoy a good read, have a game of scrabble or even the browse the Internet using the FREE wireless broadband connection.

Sauna Steam Room Indoor Heated Swimming PoolThe Hollytree Hotel is great for leisure breaks as it is one of the few Hotels in Scotland to have their own fully heated indoor swimming pool and Finnish sauna to completely relax in. Enjoy the sparkling waters of the swimming pool in the most spectacular setting in Scotland. Complete with a sea view visible while in the water, the pool is a fantastic place whether for a bit of pre dinner exercise or to simply chill out after a hard day's holidaying. Fantastic for both the young and old.
Relax in the Finnish saunarium, which is a fabulous mixture of sauna heat and steam room humidity, making it a great place to unwind.

From Fort William Tourist Information Centre take the A82 travelling towards Glencoe. Cross Ballachulish Bridge then at the roundabout take the A828 towards Oban. Kentallen is ten minutes along Oban road, on the right hand side. The Hollytree hotel is right beside the sea!
